Chapter One
The problem hiding at the end of every driveway.
It started the way most real ideas do — not with a whiteboard or a business plan, but with a moment of pure frustration on a Tuesday morning before the sun had fully risen over Seminole County.
The house was on a long lot. The kind of property where the garage sits far back from the road and the driveway stretches out ahead of you like a small commitment every time you leave. Beautiful in every season. A real point of pride. And every single week, without fail, it meant hauling a heavy bin from the side of the house all the way to the street and then making the same trip back again — often in the dark, often running late, and occasionally completely forgetting until the truck had already passed.
"It wasn't a crisis. It was just one of those small, repeating annoyances that nobody talks about because it feels too ordinary to complain about. But ordinary things add up."
The thought that kept coming back was simple: someone should just take care of this. Not the county. Not a big national company with a 1-800 number. Someone local. Someone who understood the neighborhood. Someone who would just show up, roll it out, and be gone before you'd finished your first cup of coffee.
That someone didn't exist yet. So we decided to become them.
Chapter Two
Building something the neighborhood actually deserved.
The first question we asked wasn't "how do we make money?" It was "what would we actually want this to feel like as a customer?" The answer shaped everything that followed.
We wanted a bin that was actually big enough. Not the standard residential size that fills up halfway through the week for a family with kids. A commercial-grade, 95-gallon wheeled bin — the kind you see at businesses — brought right to your door and left there for as long as you stay with us. No purchase. No deposit trap. Just a bin that works the way a bin should.
We wanted a service that actually showed up. Every week. On a scheduled day and time window that fit your routine, not ours. The same person, the same route, the same reliability. Not a call center. Not a ticket system. A real neighbor who knows your property, knows the code on your gate, and handles it without being asked twice.
And we wanted a price that was completely honest. No complicated tiers. No surprise fees. Eighty-nine dollars a month. Bin included. Valet included. That's it.
Reliable Without Exception
Same day. Same time. Same person. Every week, no matter what.
Built for the Community
A local business serving neighbors, not a national brand serving numbers.
Completely Transparent
One flat rate. No hidden fees. No contracts. No surprises on your statement.
Chapter Three
Why Seminole County. Why now.
We chose to launch in Casselberry and the surrounding communities of Seminole County for a reason that's easy to miss from the outside: this area is full of exactly the kind of properties where this service matters most.
Longer driveways. Larger lots. Gated communities where the bin has to travel further. Families where both parents are working and the last thing anyone needs is one more chore showing up at 6 AM on a weekday. Renters in apartment communities who were never offered anything like this because no one thought to bring it to them.
"Tuscawilla alone has over 11,000 residents. There are 28 subdivisions full of people who have never once thought 'I wish I had to drag my bin further to the road.' We're here to make sure they never have to."
Seminole County isn't just a service area to us. It's home. And there's a different kind of accountability that comes with serving the neighborhood you actually live in — where you might run into a customer at the grocery store, or see their house on your way to pick up your kids.
That accountability is a feature, not a burden. It's what keeps the quality honest and the relationships real.
Chapter Four
The curb companion — and what that name means.
When you sign up with Curbabin, we match you with a curb companion. That's not just a job title — it's a deliberate choice about what kind of service we want to provide.
A companion shows up consistently. A companion learns your preferences. A companion notices when something is off. If your gate code changed, they'll ask. If your bin needs to be positioned a certain way on collection day, they'll remember. If something goes wrong — which, in the real world, occasionally happens — you call us directly, and we make it right. No tickets. No hold times. No "we'll escalate this to the appropriate team."
We also built in something we call the Friendly Neighbor Discount: sign up alongside someone you know — a neighbor, a friend, a family member — and your fourth month is completely free. It's our way of saying thank you for spreading the word, but it's also a reflection of how we think the business should grow: one genuine relationship at a time, street by street, driveway by driveway.
Chapter Five
Where we're going from here.
Curbabin is just getting started. The pilot program in Seminole County is the first step in proving something that we believe is true: people are willing to pay a fair price for a service that genuinely removes a recurring headache from their week.
There are hundreds of thousands of households in Central Florida with long driveways, busy schedules, and no good answer to the problem of garbage day. We intend to become that answer — one neighborhood at a time, without sacrificing the things that make a local service worth choosing over a faceless national alternative.
We're not in a hurry to be everywhere. We're in a hurry to be exceptional right here.
From the Founder
"If you've ever been standing at the end of your driveway at 6 AM wondering why this still has to be your problem — welcome. We built this for you."
